More progress on the Carriage

So days of scrubbing, and rust removal, and painting, cutting and sewing and here we are so far. An almost done pram. I also have come to the conclusion that this is a child's toy buggy from maybe 50's or 60's. It had one wheel cap left when I disassembled it with the name "crown" on it. So I looked them up and only found one asian toy manufacturer but couldn't see any products so who knows really.

I have some touch ups to do since I really manhandled this thing trying to get the body back on the springs. Boy I scratched my pretty pink paint job up something fierce.

The inside was covered in rust, so I scrubbed it with steel wool, then primed, and painted a matte rustoleum black. Now whether this is the "correct" way is beyond me, but the rust is detered and it's clean so works for me.

The hood is a black and white floral brocade fabric with a pale pink cording trim to coordinate with the buggy. So cute! Tommorow I hope to get the hood done and make a new lining and pretty girly pram bedding set. Hopefully this will all be done in a few days. Maybe it will get a test run on the baby girl I am almost done rooting(been putting her off to do this buggy)
